From Waste to Worth:
How Corplex Maximises the Life of Plastics Through Reuse, Recovery, and Smart Design

Reimagining Plastics for a Circular Economy

As global attention intensifies around plastic pollution, it’s clear the conversation must evolve—from criticising plastics to rethinking how we design, use, and recover them. Corplex believes that the real challenge isn’t plastic itself; it’s the system that is built for disposal rather than longevity.

This shift is now at the center of international policymaking. In August 2025, government delegates from around the world will meet again in Geneva for the fourth round of negotiations on the Global Plastics Treaty—a historic effort under the United Nations to create the first legally binding framework addressing the full lifecycle of plastics. These talks mark a turning point: the future of plastic use will be judged not only by how it ends, but how it starts—with smart design, circular models, and industry accountability.

At Corplex, we’re not waiting for legislation to catch up. We’re leading by example—designing for recycling, building reuse systems, and pioneering recovery technologies that prove plastics can have long, valuable, and circular lives. Through solutions designed to be recyclable and reusable, we help industries reduce waste, cut costs, and secure their supply chains.

With innovations like our deinking machine and closed-loop collaborations with industry leaders, we’re proving that plastics don’t have to be disposable to be practical or profitable.

Designing Plastics for Circularity

At Corplex, circularity begins long before a product reaches the end of its life—it starts at the drawing board.

Circularity starts with design: our solutions are made to last through many uses and to be recycled cleanly and effectively when their work is done. Whether it’s a logistics tray or a printable sheet, the goal is to maximise the material’s life by ensuring it can be used again and again—safely, efficiently, and with minimal degradation.

Only when a product has reached the end of its useful life, recycling becomes the final step. And because that step is inevitable, we apply Design for Recycling (DfR) principles from the very beginning, making our products easy to recover and process without compromising quality.

But it doesn’t stop at design. Corplex also offers a hassle-free Recovery Program that helps customers return used materials, ensuring they don’t become waste, but resources for the next generation of products.

This fully integrated approach ensures:

Smart design for end-of-life recycling

Long-lasting, reusable products

Hassle-free recovery service

All through a single partner: Corplex
From product to process to service, we make circularity practical, scalable, and real.

Recovery in Action: A Closed Loop, Not a Dead End

To make circularity real, design is only half the story—the other half is infrastructure. That’s why Corplex has developed robust recovery programs across Europe to collect and recycle used plastic materials, from printed advertising material to reusable transport packaging.

Our innovative deinking machine plays a key role, removing inks and contaminants from printed polypropylene sheets and enabling them to be transformed into new, clean material without sacrificing quality or compliance.

Reducing Virgin Material Use = Securing the Supply Chain

The Global Plastics Treaty aims to curb the demand for virgin raw materials as part of its strategy to promote a circular economy. A critical benefit of our reuse and recycling model is the reduction in demand for virgin raw materials. This isn’t just good for the planet—it’s smart business.

By reintegrating recovered plastic into our manufacturing processes, we help our customers:

  • Reduce reliance on fluctuating global resin prices
  • Protect supply chains from geopolitical or logistics disruptions
  • Lower carbon emissions by reducing extraction and transport of raw materials

In uncertain markets, material circularity is a strategic advantage.

Building a Future Beyond Waste

As the world prepares for a legally binding Global Plastics Treaty, businesses are being asked to take real responsibility across the entire plastic lifecycle.

In the EU, the Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) will further push industries to reduce waste through reuse and recyclability in packaging.

Meanwhile, in the UK, the Plastic Packaging Tax continues to incentivise the use of recycled content by applying a levy on packaging that contains less than 30% recycled plastic.

With these regulatory shifts accelerating the need for change, Corplex is proud to be ahead of the curve—designing for reuse and efficient recycling, helping customers to close the loop on their plastic usage.

At Corplex, circularity isn’t limited to one product line.
We offer solutions across:

Reusable transport packaging

For optimised & efficient logistics

Printable sheet materials

For advertising, signage, and display

Custom-designed solutions

For multiple uses and full recyclability

In every case, we aim to extend material lifespans, reduce environmental impact, and help customers meet their sustainability goals.

Let’s turn circularity into competitive advantage.
