2023 GHG Emissions<\/h3>

In 2023, Corplex reported the following greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions:<\/p>

  • Location-Based (LB):<\/strong> 13,023.4 tCO\u2082e<\/p><\/li>

  • Market-Based (MB):<\/strong> 8,806.87 tCO\u2082e<\/p><\/li><\/ul>

    \u00a0<\/p>

    The majority of these emissions were from Scope 2<\/strong>, primarily linked to electricity consumption.<\/p>

    \u00a0<\/p>

    Our Scope 3 emissions<\/strong> (fuel- and energy-related activities) were:<\/p>

    • MB:<\/strong> 3,881.03 tCO\u2082e<\/p><\/li>

    • LB:<\/strong> 2,281.15 tCO\u2082e<\/p><\/li><\/ul>

      \u00a0<\/p>

      Notably, over 95%<\/strong> of Scope 3 emissions in 2023 were attributed to electricity use.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

      2024 GHG Emissions<\/h3>

      In 2024, total GHG emissions saw some variation:<\/p>

      • LB:<\/strong> 13,999.30 tCO\u2082e<\/p><\/li>

      • MB:<\/strong> 7,752.91 tCO\u2082e<\/p><\/li><\/ul>

        Scope 2 remained the dominant source of emissions. Scope 3 figures were:<\/p>

        • MB:<\/strong> 2,267.67 tCO\u2082e<\/p><\/li>

        • LB:<\/strong> 5,482.61 tCO\u2082e<\/p><\/li><\/ul>

          Electricity consumption accounted for more than 98%<\/strong> of Scope 3 emissions in 2024.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

          Key Emission Contributors (Market-Based)<\/h3>

          • Kaysersberg:<\/strong> 28.6%<\/p><\/li>

          • Hurbanovo:<\/strong> 25.8%<\/p><\/li><\/ul>

            \u00a0<\/p>

            Kaysersberg’s high share is due to its large operational footprint and significant electricity usage. In contrast, Hurbanovo’s high emissions are primarily influenced by Slovakia\u2019s high electricity grid emission intensity<\/strong>. Although new photovoltaic panels were installed late in the year, they currently account for just 2.7% of the site’s energy use, all of which is fed directly into the grid.<\/p>

            Key Emission Contributors (Location-Based)<\/h3>

            • Kaysersberg:<\/strong> 30.5%<\/p><\/li>

            • Gloucester:<\/strong> 29%<\/p><\/li><\/ul>

              \u00a0<\/p>

              Notably, Gloucester has eliminated its emissions under the Market-Based method<\/strong> thanks to its exclusive use of 100% renewable electricity.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

              Site-Specific Emissions Insights<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

              Despite a slight 1.9% increase in electricity consumption<\/strong>, Corplex achieved a 13.6% reduction in Market-Based emissions<\/strong> between 2023 and 2024. This improvement is largely attributed to the significant drop in France\u2019s emission factor \u2014 from 0.12 to 0.04 kg CO\u2082e\/kWh<\/strong>.<\/p>

              Looking ahead, the impact of our new photovoltaic panels<\/strong> is already showing strong results in 2025.
